Self Awareness: Who Am I?
Updated: Jun 2, 2023
Welcome to The Chronicles of The Prophet's Wife!
Daughters, sisters and likewise ministers of the gospel: I would like to begin this week's blog by celebrating you!!! As a woman, sometimes we don't get the appreciation we deserve,
I appreciate You!
WOMAN, YOU ARE A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH!
Proverbs 6:20: 'My son, keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother.'
Last Month, during one of our Prophetic Sunday Gathering, my husband @apostlejohnenumah taught on "The Law of a Mother" speaking on the power that the tongue of mother has - even more so than the father. also the POWER that a WOMAN has within her might and tongue.
Woman, 'greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world' and 'death and life are in the power of the tongue,' so much power you possess, but Who Art Thou?
Who is that woman that looks back at you in the mirror? Who is the woman that meets the targets of her household and not her own? Or who is the woman that is still figuring it all out?
The most popular answer is "I'm a child of God," but aren't we all?
Let me break it down even more..
What makes you tick and what makes you cry? How do you feel when certain matter occur or how would you react when somebody steps on your toe or that of your child's? Are you CONSCIOUS of your being?
This is known as emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence is the ability to perceive, interpret, demonstrate, control, and use emotions to communicate with and relate to others effectively and constructively. This ability to express and control your emotions is essential and key to SELF AWARENESS. The components of emotional intelligence include the following:
Perceiving emotions: The first step in understanding emotions is to perceive them accurately. In many cases, this might involve understanding nonverbal signals such as body language and facial expressions.
Reasoning with emotions: The next step involves using emotions to promote thinking and cognitive activity. Emotions help prioritize what we pay attention and react to; we respond emotionally to things that garner our attention.
Understanding emotions: The emotions that we perceive can carry a wide variety of meanings. If someone is expressing angry emotions, the observer must interpret the cause of the person's anger and what it could mean. For example, if your boss is acting angry, it might mean that they are dissatisfied with your work, or it could be because they got a speeding ticket on their way to work that morning or that they've been fighting with their partner.
Managing emotions: The ability to manage emotions effectively is a crucial part of emotional intelligence and the highest level. Regulating emotions and responding appropriately as well as responding to the emotions of others are all important aspects of emotional management.
You might just be wondering why we must be emotionally intelligent and the simple answer is this: Connecting with yourself is to draw you nearer to Jesus, because when you know what God desires of you, you begin to work in the way that He wants you to work.
The beginning of Self Awareness is actually the unravelling of the revelation, mystery and agenda of God for your life.
Dynamites, there are many benefits of self awareness, we have already established this fact, but I must point out above all others: Self awareness highlights the areas of YOU that you need to work and build on.
Having self awareness is acknowledging the Living Spirit of God within you and allowing Him to rebuke and correct you and following His leadings too, did you know that? Did you also know that having self awareness aligns you with your creators as your vision for your surroundings become clearer, not only in the physical, but speaking on that of the Spiritual realm.
Being self aware is a key to releasing INNER peace and so much more, ladies!
