How can she dress like that!!

Updated: Jun 2, 2023

Welcome to The Chronicles of The Prophet's Wife!

If it is your first time reading this piece, consider yourself a Dynamite; welcome to the family! Being a Dynamite does not only mean you're a follower of my platforms but somebody seeking to make an impact in this life journey, living by Faith!

If you are returning, you are already a dynamite, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I only ask for one thing, for you to SHARE to be a blessing.

Furthermore, ladies, how are you doing today, and how has your week been?

I have been receiving feedback from you all about my blogs, and I continue to be inspired to continue sharing. For today's blog, I'd like to know your thoughts. We continue discussing what Prophet's wives are most afraid to speak on.

Let's Talk Dress Code!

It took me a while to get into the habit of being able to represent myself to its fullest through my sense of style because I had to consider many factors:

  • Dressing in a way that exhibits my love for God by abiding by His Word

  • Dressing in colours and fabrics that make me feel beautiful as a person

  • Dressing in a way that compliments the assignment to support my husband

  • Dressing knowing that I'm a role model to Spiritual children and biological children

  • Dressing in a way that I'd leave the house feeling comfortable

Pastor's wives, do you all feel me right now? It's not just about "dressing up" as a person and feeling comfortable in my skin - which is essential; it's not just about dressing up as a woman - these are the factors that we naturally have to consider before walking in being a "pastor's wife." Still, we have to double-check ourselves MORE than the average minister would. It's about representation. Above all, who do you want to represent when you step into a room?

If you're thinking of becoming or on the route to becoming a minister's or pastor's wife, you must learn to express yourself in a way that you appreciate and value who you ALREADY are. I had to highlight 'already' because nobody should lose their uniqueness once entering an office, as that was the gift that brought them there in the first place!

Proverbs 18:16: 'A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.'

Dynamites, I pray you do not EVER give up on who you are as today I can honestly say that I genuinely express my inner spirit of fashion - yet with elegance. I have a boutique. It's called the Sunday's Finest Boutique, which I'll launch soon! It's already been in the works on eBay for a long while, but it will be coming up soon on my platform.

There is so much that I've learned that God has shown me over the years. As I'm growing every day, I'm learning to be MORE like myself and show more of myself because my uniqueness is my "superpower". It makes me stand out as a person and as a Pastor's wife. Although I want to speak more deeply on this matter because people often think it's easy to throw something modest on and leave the house, as expressed already, I always have to be careful because I am a leader. I am not just Prophet's wife by title, but by the office and respecting my office means that I not only talk the part but walk and DRESS the part so as not to be misrepresented or misunderstood.

You think, "how am I going to express myself? How am I going to look? Am I dressing "the part?" Will people be able to read what is going on with me?" Truthfully, I struggled with that, but I've learned to embrace who I am because, remember, ladies, how you dress reflects who you are and your mindset, and one can deduce so much about another person. Some of you will know that we have a core operations team that I feel I can share and express my true feelings with them because I've grown with them and understand their thoughts concerning how I think about some issues. So I feel showing my weakness is not necessarily a weakness but a strength because they also see that we are still human - but with that call of God over our loves.

Sometimes I still cry. Sometimes, I say, "Lord, I need your help. Lord, I need your strength. Lord, I need you right now." But the beautiful thing about this journey is being able to still rely on God to guide you through every step of the way. So don't give up, and don't be scared of this journey.

Just embrace every moment and know that God wants this for you. If not, He wouldn't have placed you in that position. I know that every journey you've gone through and every experience is to bless you and to use that lesson to grow and multiply to be a blessing to your generation. So do not look at your past; let that be a foundation of what you think the future should look like. No, allow your history, and gain the strength and pain you've experienced. Let that be the strength that propels you forward. Let that be the guide that leads you to the next level.

Remember to pray every step of the way! The Holy Spirit will guide you if you allow it to guide you to be your shield and be your protector through it. Oh, and I know that that one person that you can, you know, rely upon will come your way. So that's just a few thoughts on some things I know. Personally, again, this is my opinion, my experience. I don't know about the other prophets out there. And I may prefer his wife's out there. I don't know what they've encountered was disassembling the things I found difficult to share. I just wanted to share those thoughts with you, the absolute truth about being in ministry.

There are good times and bad times in a walk like our own, but the best thing about it is that you're walking in your purpose. So please rejoice today, and if you genuinely desire to marry a minister, pastor, or prophet, you're blessed. You're so lucky. And I believe that the bone of your bone and the flesh of your flesh will locate you - if you are not already on that path in the name of Jesus!

If you can relate to what I'm saying, comment on this blog and let me hear your thoughts. I want to know what things you are afraid to share, or you've been afraid to share. And you think, "Oh, this is familiar," please drop your comments on this platform. I want to hear it. I want to see it.

May the Lord bless you, and I thank you so much for reading this blog.

Share it with your loved ones, and I'll see you again this time next week!
